Abstract

Over two years, the Faculty of Women for Arts, Sciences, and Education embarked on a distinguished and pioneering experience in scientific research and project management. It began in October 2022 with a proposed interdisciplinary research project that studies, evaluates, and provides solutions for the COVID pandemic, which shook Egyptian society and the entire world, affecting various aspects of life and leaving impacts on society and individuals that are still ongoing. This research project has turned into a success story for the project management team and the participating researchers, who numbered 21 from various departments in the fields of arts, sciences, and education. What is remarkable about this project is not only the diversity of the participating disciplines but also the positive spirit that shaped all its procedures, starting from forming the supervision team, selecting the researchers, providing technical support, and the international publication of distinguished research in classified global journals.
This article will not document the project, its mechanisms, and its outputs, as all of this has already been reported and can be referred to by those interested. Instead, this article aims to shed light on the management of interdisciplinary research projects and how a research project manager can lead their team to success.
