About “Seminar” Journal

Seminar rooms in all the scientific departments of our universities have long been brimming with research ideas and scholarly visions suggested by both professors and young researchers in the different disciplines. The departmental seminar has never been limited to presenting plans proposed by researchers who wish to obtain their master's or doctoral degrees; it has rather been a forum for scholars to engage in scientific discussions and a platform for sharing experiences that would help graduate students, researchers, and faculty members at various stages of their careers. I have always had a dream that scientific journals would be liberated from the traditional framework into which the researcher publishes their papers as a prerequisite for getting their degrees. Instead, I wish that the scientific journal would become a repertoire of research topics and scientific trends in multiple disciplines, and that its pages would reflect the ideas of professors and experts in each field. As such the scientific journal would turn into a seminar room that reverberates with discussions of new ideas and conversations among scholars. This can be achieved today through using digital communication tools and multimedia technology which can facilitate wider interaction and simulate physical seminar rooms. The reader of such journal would not only be reading articles but would also interact with their authors after listening to them and watching their presentations of ideas and findings. By communicating with writers and discussing their academic contributions, the rich seminar rooms in our departments will become widely available to all researchers in the field. This dream can only be realized in the form of a multimedia scientific journal, hence the inauguration of this new interactive journal “Seminar”.
